TOWNS
Welcome to the towns of
Heroes and Might and Magic III
You know, if it wasn't the name Heroes of Might and Magic, the game could be called Towns of Might and Magic, because Towns and Heroes - that was all these about, these two are the foundations of the game itself.
There are 8 town types for Heroes III and even 9 (with the Conflux) if you have the Armageddon's Blade expansion pack (remember, that Shadow of Death doesn't have the Conflux).
Each town is unique. In the game of Heroes, towns are not the same as the places where we're living in the real world. No, Heroes' towns are countries with their own creatures, heroes, buildings, qualitites, advantages and disadvantages.
Which town do you choose to play, it's for you to decide. But if you'll play Heroes long enough, you'll find your favorite town. In this section you'll be able to find the words of diffirent experienced players who explained why do they like a particular town and how to play with it.
Each town requires its own strategy not only in battling because of the unique characteristics of the town's creatures, but in the construction of the town's structures as well.
In other words, each town is a small empire with its own rules, benefits and restrictions that must be known when you're playing both with it and against it in order to anticipate the moves of your opponent.
That's why this section of Heroes strategy is so big - you can find information about any town of Heroes III here.

I'll be alwyas glad if you'd decide to submit your own Guide and/or Manual, or maybe opinion about the Heroes towns.
The more views would be presented here by the different experienced players, the better  it will help new Heroes players. Perhaps, they even will use your own tactics against you on the future battlefields, if you'll meet, of course! *LOL*
It's said that the chess is the greatest teaching tool for a strategist. I don't doubt it. Perhaps, Heroes of Might and Magic III could be called the second best, and a cool one at it!

To be good at anything, one has to practice and learn. Sometimes, learning from other people's experience could help.

Here you can find the essense of my accumulated experience of many years playing Heroes, as well as the opinions and views of other very experienced players who kindly provide theirs words of wisdom to this page.

Press  the name of the work near the author's portrait and you'll jump to the guide, press on "biography" under the author's portrait and you'll get information about the author.
